Join Our Quarterly Volunteer Onboarding for Rainbow Youth

Are you ready to help build an affirming, inclusive community for LGBTQIA+ youth as a volunteer? Our Quarterly Volunteer Onboarding Trainings are your first step. o support young people, but to become a trusted, empathetic presence in their lives.

Over the course of the training, we’ll:

• Discuss Rainbow Youth’s mission, values, and community norms.

• Learn best practices for creating safe and affirming spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth 

• Get familiar with key policies, role expectations, and volunteer responsibilities (provided in a digital handbook)

• Find out how to sign up for volunteer opportunities.

• Meet some of our current volunteers and staff, so you can start building connections before you sign up.

Why it matters:
Volunteers are the heart of Rainbow Youth. You’ll play an essential part in lifting up queer youth, creating a brave space for self-expression, and contributing to a supportive community. 

When & How:
These onboarding sessions run quarterly, giving new volunteers regular opportunities to get started. Once you complete this training, you’ll be fully equipped—and welcomed—to join our weekly gatherings, events, mentoring, and more.
