“Our Youth Safety Campaign“, also known as “Out & Safe” was created in response to the urgent need for safe spaces for queer youth. The goal of this project is to engage the community and establish a a sustainable online directory of safe and supportive community businesses and resources, as well as support those organizations with opportunities and continuing education to further develop inclusive practices.
The Out & Safe Community Directory is a resource compiled through community input and organizational partnerships. While we strive to highlight businesses that are affirming, inclusive and safe, we cannot guarantee individual experiences. Inclusion in this directory does not constitute an endorsement by Rainbow Youth, and we encourage individuals to use their own judgment and share feedback with us. Safety and support look different for everyone, and we are committed to updating this resource based on community needs and experiences.Â
